Red Dot Optical Sights:

C-More CRW Railway Sight

The Railway sight quickly attaches to Weaver and Picatinny rail style scope mounts. This enables the Railway to be attached to virtually anything! Shotguns, rifles, handguns, revolvers, crossbows, paint ball guns; these are just a few of the applications the Railway has seen. The sight can be easily detached and installed on other weapons, making it the most versatile in the C-MORE line up.

We received one of these as part of a promotion from FN USA with the purchase of an FS2000. This promotion helped with the final decision to purchase the FS2000. After all its essentially knocking $300 of the purchase price of the gun. The sight arrived about 2 weeks after sending off my paperwork to FN. I immediately mounted the sight to the gun and turned it on. Mounting was simple and flawless as you would expect. Once installed a few things I didn't care for became apparent immediately The first is the audible click when adjusting brightness. Its way too loud. Second is the effort required to turn the brightness level adjustment knob. The knob is quite small and difficult to grip with my fingers at least. Its my feeling that the knob could stand to be another .200 larger in diameter. This based on the leverage of the larger diameter would make the knob easier to move yet still lock firmly in its detent. My third complaint is the quality of the dot. Now i know this is not a precision optic but I expect it to be somewhat close to round. It is not. My sight's dot is almost square in appearance and it has the look of a small group of fiber optic light pipes grouped together. Like many other sights of this type the higher you go on the brightness the more the dot begins to bloom and get ugly. Now with my gripes aside I see no reason the sight shouldn't work perfectly well for its intended purpose. That purpose being fast target acquisition with both eyes open. When the weather break we will put it through the wringer at a local range. Stay tuned.

Millet DMS 1-4X24 Designated Marksman Scope

The Designated Marksman Scope fills the requirements of the law enforcement officer, rifle shooter, and the big game hunter who needs a quick-sighting system at ranges of 5 yards to 500 yards. The "Dot-in-a-Donut" reticle allows for fast, natural aiming. The shooter's eye lines up the circle at close range, and the one MOA dot gives accuracy at the longer ranges. Range estimation is straight forward by use of the circle out to 500 yards. Compact design, 30mm tube, fully coated glass and bright illumination of the reticle are just a few of the many features of the DMS-1. Bright red illumination of the reticle adds to the quickness of the sighting system in day and low-light conditions. At 1 power it works well as a reflex sight and at longer ranges the 4X magnification gives increased accuracy.
